This is a free nice area with a number of lake/ponds to walk around and great for bird viewing also. You can visit one pond or drive quickly to another one with plenty of parking during the week.

Nice area for hiking, walking and biking. It is never crowded. I especially like it in the summer and recommend it for a close-to-home getaway.

Luckily I caught it on a cooler day. Temperature was perfect for a walk. Plenty of Canadian geese flying overhead. Even though you can still hear the cars driving nearby you don’t see them.

Loveland has many nature areas, great choices for long walks. Ample parking, lots of paths to follow, several lakes. Great addition. Right across the street from Centennial Park, lots of parking here, too,and easy access to Loveland Trail

The River's Edge natural Area is very convenient for a walk in relaxing and pleasant surroundings. The paths are wide enough for trail bikes and runners as well as those involved in a leisurely stroll. Plenty of waterfowl on the ponds, and fishing is also available as catch and release for bass.
