tripadvisorTwenty or thirty years ago Pine Mountain village was great shopping: antiques, gift shops, vintage homeware, Lang store, a year round Christmas store, ice cream, florist and quilt fabric. We frequented their 10 to 15 shops with every trip to Eureka Springs. But, sadly, today it is dead and gone. Public restrooms may still be open. Harley Davidson shop and a burger eatery are the only shops still open. Ample parking. Buildings look very nice and appear to be maintained, but you will be disappointed if you expect anything more than a parking lot.
MoreThere is nothing in this shopping village except empty stores, Harley Davidson and one restaurant. It's a terrible shame cause stores are very nice looking and you can tell in the past, it was a great village shops.
MoreThere honestly is nothing left there but the Harley shop. It is sad, this was once a great little place to shop. We loved the ice cream shop there, it is gone. Grandma’s restaurant. it is gone. There’s nothing left there. It is basically a ghost town
MoreFirst, the photo that accompanies this listing is not of Pine Mountain Village, but is of one of Joe McClung's storefronts on the Loop in Eureka Springs. Second, only two businesses remain at PMV: the Harley-Davidson store and a spice store. The Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center has moved to the community cenetr, site of the old high school, on West Van Buren, opposite Inn of the Ozarks. Business was on the decline for years, but the family that owned the Village kept it open, while they tried to find a buyer. Several unprofitable businesses were allowed to remain even though they were unable to pay rent. When a new owner was found, those non-paying businesses were forced to leave; others struggled. At a later point, the new owners (who operate the Harley store) felt the financial pinch and told the remaining shops that they would henceforth be responsible for exterior maintenance chores, such as cleaning the parking lots! Except for the spice store, all balked and either relocated or retired. Efforts to attract new tenants have failed. No reason to stop here as there is nothing to do at this former attraction.
MoreThis used to be such a great place for shopping, eating, music show. Drove through at 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon and the only thing there is the Harley dealer. All the shops are gone and the Pine Mountain Jamboree is closed. Very disappointing.
