The Halifax river is very wide and lengthy and runs for perhaps 6 to 10 miles alongside the coast and past Daytona into the sea. Really nice.

We've kayaked and fished the area several times. It's a river. Not really much different than anywhere else you'd see up and down the coast. The marshy areas occasionally hold some decent fish, but usually hot and little breeze.

We drove the area along the Blueway headed over to a restaurant up near Ormond. It was a beautiful drive. Takes you back to a time long ago. Lots of low hanging trees with Spanish Moss. It was a beautiful area.

The river itself is beautiful. There are public docks for fishing, parks and trails nearby. Really enjoyed it.

The waterway is beautiful. Many houses w/ boat docks all differnt colors and sizes. You can see sail boats. The Ponche Light house is also off the water. You may see dolphins swimming around too.
