I have made this my daily go to for a walk. It is especially gorgeous during sunset time. I havent seen any wildlife except a lizard. Perfect for strollers and wheelchairs as it is paved.

Pretty cool little trail that's less then a mile. Walk through the sand dunes and watch the lizards running by your feet, the birds will be chirping, the wind slightly blowing......

This trail is inside Padre Island National Seashore park. The park entrance fee is $10/car, valid 7 days. The trail head is located just inside the entrance on the right; watch for a small parking area. The nature trail is a .75-mile loop through sand dunes covered with grasses and wildflowers. The surface is asphalt and suitable for wheelchairs and strollers, although it's a bit bumpy and there are some gentle grades. We have walked this trail twice and mostly had it to ourselves both times - very peaceful. There isn't any shade so be prepared for sun exposure. We went through the trail quickly in November because mosquitoes were abundant; repellent is recommended.

My Husband and I liked our walk on Padre Island National Seashore’s Grasslands Nature Trail. It is short paved trail about 3/4 mile long. It is a walk through the sand dunes. Take your insect repellant. There are plenty of mosquitos.

There is no shade but I enjoyed the natural beauty and unobstructed views to the horizon. It's short (1.5 miles round trip) and easy walking. Many plants have identifying labels.
