Iam a Maxwell and i know the Maxwell s in New Mexico are well known and thats my Famaily because it was my Uncle or Grandpaps that Built New Mexico, Lucious Maxwell! A good open space close to home for a walk or hike on a fine day. Can make the hike longer by catching on to other trails or shorter by the first loop.

This is a great hike close to town when you are short on time and want to get your heart rate up. Power up to the top of the trail, enjoy the view and zip on down. Trail is heavily used so if you are the type to get annoyed by sharing the trail with others head a little further out of town.

My sister and I hiked this trail last week. It wasn't a long hike but it was a good workout as we walked up the side of the hill that took us to the top of Horsetooth Reservoir. Stunning views at the top - on the way down we passed families, dogs, bikes and runners. Hint: Go early and avoid the crowds!

I rode my cycle through this area many time, and didn't know it had a specific name. This is a gateway to many beautiful and scenic roads entering the mountains.
