Right in the downtown, in the heart of city, it's a nice place to take some wide photos! Easy to park around.

The Cree Shimmer Wall is a very impressive piece of art on the west, (McDowell St) side of the Raleigh Convention Center. Designed by artist Thomas Sayre, the wall depicts a picture of an oak tree. It measures a huge 210’ wide X 44’ tall and is made up of over 79,000 light and dark aluminum 4” square pixels that flutter and shimmer in the wind.It overlooks the Red Hat Amphitheater. The beat views are probably from the amphitheater but there are good views from the street too. Definitely put this on your path if you are walking around downtown Raleigh.
