This park is an exercise in opposites- it's DOWNTOWN in an area that could be sorta iffy, but have a closer look in the trees! You will see many birds that just pass through our area and the variety is outstanding with the north wind blows!

Blucher Park is a wonderful park right in the downtown Corpus Christi. It is nestled next to the Public Library with interesting views from the reading rooms of the library. Corpus Christi is a flyover as birds north in spring and south in fall. Plan on spending a few hours here and you will be well rewarded.

The location is surrounded by houses and buildings. It's such a small wood because the grond area of the park is a bit up and down and not really well maintained. There's a lot of green in the park and a small creek in the middle of the park. This park is also one of the Texas costal birding trail area. You will find tropical plants in the park, such kind of palm tree, mimosoid trees and you will hear the birds singing but you can't see them. If you want to visit this park, it's better to park your car near the crossing of N Carrizo st and Blucher st 900. There is an information post by the main entrance.

This park is heavily wooded. I saw only homeless people at each entrance to the park. It was frightening. I drove around the entire park but did not dare get out of my vehicle.

We saw great birds here but there are many homeless people in the park and drug users don't go in there in the evening and don't go alone stay in lit areas
