This area is the place to be during the College World Series. Plenty of vendors and events to occupy your time. There are some unique places within NoDo such as Filmstreams, The Slowdown and the Trap Room. There is not much of a draw to the area for me unless I'm going to a movie or a live show. There is constant development in the area so I'm sure there are plenty of good things to come. If you are traveling to the CWS parking can be limited in the immediate area, so the City of Omaha operates a bus shuttle from the Old Market area. Save time trying to park and ride the shuttle right to the stadium. The area is also very safe during major events and there is always a large police presence during the CWS.

This part of town used to be warehouses and shuttered businesses. Now, it is teeming with hotels, bars, entertainment and restaurants. Great place to visit almost any time of year now.

The NoDo (North Downtown) District contains a number of very attractive entertainment features. There are athletic venues, such as the TDAmeritrade Park (for the College World Series and Creighton baseball), the Century Link Center (for concerts, the annual Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders meeting, Creighton Basketball, and more), restaurants, hotels, and my favorite, the Hotshops. The Hotshops is an artists' center with workspace for their creativing and retail and exhibit space. My favorite space at the Hotshops is the Chrystal Forge, a glass blowing area where one can watch folks blowing glass and creating amazing art.

I live in NoDo, there is lots of stuff to do within a couple of blocks. Bars, movie theaters, good eats, hotels, art collective and decent parking. Totally worth a trip. Do not travel much North of The HotShops art shop as the scenery quickly gets sketchy.
