While I wasn't able to tour the inside—it’s only open on Sundays—just standing outside the Lathrop House was a deeply moving experience. Knowing the courage of the Lathrop family and how they risked so much to shelter freedom seekers on the Underground Railroad gives the property a powerful, palpable history. Even from the outside, it is a incredibly meaningful stop that really stays with you.

Very nice, small and in the basement. Its worth seeing how they entered the small room when their safety was compromised. The two gentlemen working there were very knowledgeable and friendly.

Know before you go..Open Sundays 1 to 4 and that's itNot sure if that's winter included or notSome nice walking / biking paths hidden in the valley behind. Lots of history about the area. A quick time killer if you happen to be at flower, or maybe church on a Sunday afternoon

We toured the house for the Fourth of July celebration. Although only the basement has been renovated, the guide was very good and it was great for my granddaughters to see the hidden spaces.

Very knowledgeable staff, sweet people. Lots of good history, and authentic rooms with a newer museum style room too. I went with friends and it’s well worth a stop if you have a minute on a Sunday. Your donations would support the renovations upstairs. We all had chills for awhile.
