tripadvisorWe stop in for a quick bite and a frap! I had a yummy caramel frap from the Crislip cafe, the best part was the 6 cheese, grilled cheese sandwich! Completely delicious! The place is tiny, and the wait was long, but it was worth it!
MoreCool and quaint little shopping area with lots of boutiques. My girlfriend enjoyed it particularly as the stores were mostly geared towards women.
MoreThis is just so wonderful that the city of St.Petersburg, Florida keeps and loves its old buildings, its rich historical heritage, and places like this lovely Crislip Arcade, that lives in the present, and at the same time it is still an inseparable and very valuable part of the past.Crislip Arcade goes way back to the 1920s when it was designed (architect Edgar Ferdon) for businessman John A. Crislip, in whose honor the arcade was named. Located on Central Ave of St. Petersburg, it is slightly off the downtown area of the city, but it definitely attracts attention by its colorful facade, and of course invites to visit its multiple cute shops and other businesses on both sides of the narrow passage way. Crislip Arcade was built in a very traditional style that started in Europe in the 16th century ('shopping malls') , and that looks so beautiful in modern times. The arcade was renovated in 2010, owing Big Thanks to Mr. Gaffney - the owner of the arcade. There's parking available outside Crislip Arcade, plus there's a public transportation stop (trolley stop) right outside it.I visited Crislip Arcade twice this year, loved taking photos of this historical place, and I will definitely visit it again in the future. It is a beautiful site!
Morethe ancestor of the MALL...the arcade.quaint. little shops, not chains, but very nicetoo bad there are only 2 arcade left.this is the most intersting one for the shops. the other one (few blocks from that one) is very pretty, too but empty, too bad
MoreAbsolutely beautiful wrought iron and Spanish tiles adorn this area. There is a great selection of different vendors but the prices are overwhelmingly high. One of the shopkeepers told us that the rents are so high they have to charge ridiculous prices.
