Directly in front of Maritime Museum, nice area with 3 black marble walls engraved with those soldiers who served and another monument with more history behind it inside the museum on 2nd floor, only negative is the water surrounding statue is very yellow and nasty looking, definitely needs cleaning up.But area close to the cruise port is definitely worth a look.

This park area near the Battleship Iowa contains several memorials and this one is at the end near a Museum. This is a memorial for those that served and helped the Merchant Marine.The memorial is composed of 3 areas. 1st being a long wall with various information. 2nd being Sailors climbing a rope ladder Statue and 3rd being colums of inormation for donors and those that served. Interesting to see and understand the history

This is a large Memorial to American Merchant Marine people during WWII with a listing of people. their are monument of a sailor helping another sailor to climb up a ladder to include monuments with listings. Large area and easy to find
