tripadvisorThe ducklings are here. Everything is green. The weather is finally getting warmer after a long winter. It's a great time to stroll along the park's paths (and watch the ducks). There are also a few Canadian geese, so watch where you step!
MoreIt was a nice autumn day to take a walk. The sun was warm but the breeze was cool, and the deciduous tree leaves were at peak red and orange colors. There were about 50 Canadian geese on the pond, but they eventually all moved to the grass to graze. They'll by flying south soon.
MoreWe went on a very foggy day and again on a sunnier day. There's a mama duck that has 11 ducklings that we've seen twice, once when they were only a few days old and again recently. The trees are blooming and everything is getting very green due to all the rain we've had over the last month. It looks like the tourists still need to discover this beautiful park because it's usually all locals, even in the summer, with a lot of pickleball regulars.
MoreWe took a walk in Memorial Park at the peak of foliage in early November. The geese were still hanging around, the pond fountains were still on, and it was gorgeous. Lots of brilliant red and orange leaves.
MoreOn a late October day with temperatures in the mid-70s, we took a walk in the park. The maple trees were at peak -- orange and red, with still some green mixed in. There were almost a dozen ducks in the pond enjoying the weather. The grass was still emerald green, probably due to the rainy summer, but the town of Scarborough does a great job maintaining this park in all seasons.
