I loved my trip to Fort Collins, CO. There are so many things to do in the area. Fort Collins itself has a great downtown area. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, art galleries and antique stores. What I really enjoyed was the day trips close to Fort Collins, (Poudre Canyon, Loveland, Flat Irons Reservoir, Devil's Backbone hiking area.Loveland has great murals and art galleries downtown as well as the Benson Sculpture Park. Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park are also close by. Lots of interesting things to keep one busy.

Such a fun river! One of my favorite hidden gems in Colorado. It was a great place to learn how to river run, and an even better place to fish.

We used A1 Wildwater for an afternoon float trip. This was our first raft trip and it definitely won't be the last. If your wanting to river raft, check out A1 Wildwater, their guides are great!

This is absolutely the best time of year to take a drive along the Poudre River. With the snow melt an unusually rainy Spring, the Cache La Poudre is a must see in 2023. We drove from Fort Collins and met up with the Poudre just outside of Roosevelt National Park off Hwy 287. The river road winds you through some of the most breathtaking nature you have ever seen. Rolling hills, sharp rock formations that reach to the sky, and river rapids all the way, as well as, plenty of places to stop along the way to capture it all on film or phone. You can take as long of a drive as you'd like or keep it short. It doesn't have to be an all day event, but one that shouldn't be missed no matter what.
