Kimlin Cider Mill Historical Museum

One of the older cider mills in America, the historic Kimlin Cider Mill in the Town of Poughkeepsie is listed on the New York State and National Register of Historic Places. The Kimlin family owned this cider mill which was a part of their large agricultural farm in the early 1850s. In a bid to expand, the farming operations were turned into a mill and a curiosities museum was also made for the public. In times to come, the cider mill became a big attraction for local and far away residents. That’s when the Cider Mill Friends decided to start a mission for protection and restoration of this great open space.
