tripadvisorThis is actually my grandpa’s house. Like William brown Miller was my grandpa :) (we went there for a family reunion in 2021)
MoreLots of interesting art work and pictures in the home. Interesting story. Take a guided tour. Staff is very knowledgeable
MoreLocated in Dallas Heritage Village is Millermore Mansion. Completed in 1857, this was the home of William Brown Miller who served in the Confederate army. He was a cotton farmer before the war. The home is a great example of the Greek Revival style of architecture. The home is furnished with period pieces. My favorite piece is a painting entitled Saved.
MoreThe building is in terrible shape. So much land dedicated to preserving a ghost village. I thought a village was supposed to have people. Empty buildings without people is really not worth the visit.
MoreThe collection of old, vintage homes is fantastic at heritage Village in what used to be called Old City park. I visited the site while vacationing in Dallas from Chicago. I loved the historical insights to each building via cell phone access. I love the preservation done here and the Historical/Preservation Society should be commended. Rachel at the front desk was a true Sweetie and is a great person to offer a fantastic first impression to a site like this!
