Quarry Run is a different type of dog park than we're most familiar with. Instead of a fenced in open area, Quarry Run is a fenced in wilderness area with some trails and sitting areas. The dogs seemed to love it as the terrain is simply natural with some wet areas. Your furry friend might get a little dirty in the paws but he/she will certainly enjoy it!

We lucked out- brought our dog on a Tuesday afternoon and met about 10 other dogs in the park. I think someone said it is about 10 acres, all fenced in! For our dog, it was like running free in our local woods. There are several paths and open areas for the dogs to wander through. The most free our dog has ever felt at a dog park! I guess we were lucky - all the dogs we met were very well behaved and enjoyed playing with each other.

We’re visiting in Portland from Pennsylvania with our dogs. We decided to let them have a break too so we went to Granite Run. The park is huge and all fenced in. Many trails for people and dogs. Just beware, there are some wet areas. I think there is a stream running through it. There are also some pretty steep paths (not all) that would be easy for the four leggers, it those of us with only two might want to consider what shoes to wear.

We took our german shepard on vacation for the first time this summer,he's a high energy dog so we took him to this park to burn off some of it,there were at least 10 other dogs there which created some anxiety for him, but we soon had him running the trail and not focusing on other dogs. It's an ok place if your dog needs to run for exercise and you have no other place to go.
