A very humbling place to see the resting places of many well-known people. From Little Jimmy Dickens to the recently deceased Dolly Parton, the cemetery and mausoleum have a number of gravesites. Well worth the visit.

I knew when we took our vacation to Nashville I had to pay my respects to Dolly. Woodlawn is a beautiful, peaceful place. It is the final resting place for many well known people in the country music field. It was quite emotional as it brought back many happy memories for my childhood, growing up in a country music loving home. It was well worth the time we took to visit.

We were there visiting the grave of JD Sumner, the one and only. We´ve been in USA to visit Elvis Presley´s Graceland and Johnny Cash Museum, so it was mandatory to pay our respects to Mr Sumner. The mausoleum was dark and there was nobody out there (alive, I mean) but we ask for help and got a map.It was very emmotional.

Went to visit the resting place of some beloved country music stars. Enjoyed seeing the outdoor gravesites. However, the indoor mausoleum couldn’t be tolerated. There are 3 levels. The 1st floor lower level smells so bad, it was unbearable. The mausoleum mentions to visit their recreation of the tomb of Christ. That section in particular has such a toxic smell, we feared for our health. Although it’s interesting to see the resting places of legends, there seems to be some serious issues going on with upkeep. Mold, mildew?
