This is one of a series of small parks along the City's most beautiful drive: Ocean Drive. Most of these parks are small pocket parks and are not destination parks for out-of-town visitors. All of them are well maintained. Poenish Park is the smallest of all and has only 5 parking spots and 1 table. There is a beautiful tile sign though.

My husband and I stopped at Poenisch Park for about 15 minutes. The park is small, has one picnic table and one park bench. The park has a nice view of downtown Corpus Christi and a small beach. There is a drainage pipe that opens to the beach so I think the beach cleanliness is questionable.
