I do agree with most comments. The hotel is lovely, always clean and well-maintained. Staff couldn't do enough for you. However, I would not consider this 5-star, but rather a very good 4-star. Reasons for this would be a few issues which would not be overlooked if it were 5*. Shortage of glasses (I had to take 'cracked' glasses back to the bar on more than one occasion). Inconsistent with types of glasses used for all drinks and running out of glasses and having to resort to plastic cups. The restaurant can get busy but food is plentiful. However, it can be cold and there are no microwaves available to heat anything up. There is a bakery which is open 24/7 and this is a nice touch but it says if offeres soup and sandwiches which i didn't see other than filled baguettes after 11pm which were limited. There is so much room for everyone on the complex, but still people reserve sunbeds, sofas, etc, it's almost like a territorial thing. The hotel does not own the beach, but it is lovely to walk and watch the surfers. Overall, we had a lovely, relaxing week. Just be aware that this hotel does not have much round and about it so you will need to use taxis if you need to get out and about or book trips.

Went in Dec. 21. Please sell fewer tickets so it's not a 3 hour lap--perhaps they made some changes since? I'm sure it's for a good cause, so I hope it got sorted out since we went. Maybe it was a fluke that night. I'm sure it's a nicer time when cars can move through faster.

Over a 2 to 3 hour wait in line and once you are in line there is no way to leave. If you are backed up to the Expo center, it's only a 2 hour wait. They can easily rectify this by selling online tickets like the zoo lights limiting 80 cars to 20 minute time slots.

What a delightful way to slow down for a few minutes, drive slowly with headlights off, and see holiday lights around the Portland International Raceway! We had company from California and thought “Let’s go!” We arrived about 4:45 pm and it opened at 5 but everything was ready so we were through the entry gate promptly. The displays set on the banks of the raceway covered the 12 days of Christmas, drummer, Hanukkah, kwanza, skiing, golf, etc. The tunnels of flashing were my favorite. All of this supports the generous services of the Sunshine Division of the Portland Police Bureau! Thank you very much for your continuous service.

This is clearly a seasonal event...and worth the drive! We took the Audi convertible through with the top down and were amazed. Especially the displays that go over the track...so beautiful. This clearly takes TONS of effort to get ready...kudos to whoever has that task! I would definitely recommend this for the whole family...or a romantic night for two in the convertible!
