Small park between the beach and the main road. We waited for the trolley here. Not much to do in this park but there are palm trees

This small 1 block park is loaded with tall palm trees shading the area. Sitting across a parking lot from the beach, the pretty decent rest rooms came in handy on a few occasions. Nice green space.

If your a person of color then I highly suggest not to park here nor be in this area. I was in this area, walking on around on my cell phone only to encounter Clearwater police to positioning theirselves and watching me the entire time. I realized that they were because an officer that had parked near one of the exits, another officer at the other exit, drove away from his position at the same time that I was leaving the parking lot. An email was sent to both Clearwater City Hall and Clearwater Police Department concerning this. It seems that the Pinellas County has a whole does this at their local beaches. Provide an unwelcoming attitude to people of color, specifically African Americans at public locations.

Best place to park if going to Frenchys Rockaway. Right on the beach and a good spot to sit in the shade if you need it.

Located between Frenchy's restaurant and Palm Pavilion restaurant there is a strip of parking for the beach. I have been coming to this beach since I was around 10 years old and love it. Lots of animals, have seen sting Ray's, fish, pelicans and many other birds. There are some sand dunes and a close by life guard tower. You can see the pirate ship sailing in and out and if you swim out a bit there is a great sandbar too. I am finally able to bring my children here and they also love it. Never too crowded and the people are always nice.
