The Rainbow Lagoon Park situated on the Northern side of Shoreline Drive expands across 12 acres of urban landscape. This park is not exactly a natural habitat but more of a relaxation spot for neighborhood residents. The park is mainly covered by cultured lawns and palm trees. It was created in order to fill up the water around Rainbow Pier which was constructed in the 1920s. The lagoon is an artificially created one, but nevertheless gives one a feel of the marine atmosphere. If you are lucky you might spot some herons catching fish from the lagoon.

MoreSecurity that actually cares about what happens to people. Being Assaulted and Robbed in broad daylight is a heinous and despicable act. All the while construction workers walking by while you are screaming your head off for help. Awful experience to have to live with for the rest of your life. Watch your back and your belongings as well as your loved ones because if they see something they want they will do whatever it takes to get it. Be careful
MoreA place to go and see. Changing colours and very well kept. Plenty of restaurants around and bars to visit
MoreReally nice, free park area right in downtown Long Beach. Located next to Shoreline Village and across the street from Marriott Renaissance. Very pretty at sundown. When I was there, there were lots of families strolling about.
MoreEnjoyed a 30 min trip around the lagoon on Labor day weekend. Glad we did it! Staff very friendly, helpful. Check ahead for scheduling, only there on weekends, holidays.
