This place screams - I do not belong here. May be, in downtown Smolensk. There is nothing wrong in remembering the dead, but so many Americans died in so many wars. Have their memorial here, our opinion!

The monument is located close to the Exchange Place PATH Station. Have visited this memorial on several visits to the nearby J Owen Grundy Park. My first visit motivated me to read more about this sad time in history.

This monstrosity looms over the beautiful skyline view for no good reason. It was a tragic WW2 event but it didn't happen here and it belongs in a park nearby just not here.

Strange to find that in the middle of the States instead of in Poland. But it's a good way to show to the masses how it's easy to create a hoax...

Gruesome sculpture but commemorating an historical event during WWII in Poland. It seems to have a lot of meaning for the many Polish Americans who come to view it as well as local politicians who support them so strongly.. The quality of the sculpture does not, in my opinion, merit the frenzied loyalty that it has received.
