tripadvisorWe found the park and got there before dark. Nice area to hang out. When it got dark the lights on the bridge and water was beautiful. The darker the better. Definately a place to go and relax.
MoreEvery Thursday and Sunday evening during the Summer...the SB Parks dept feature music other entertainment. Nice venue, rather new, and there are fireworks displays on a regular basis, nearby! Fixed seating, picnic areas and room for your portable chairs.
MoreThis was a great place to go, too bad it is being torn down for expensive condos rather that kept in use for the community.Saw many great shows here, a really cool spot in the summer. It is being torn down due to greed and avarice by a cadre of dreamers who have high hopes for the revitaqlization of downtown South Bend. Think! The tallest build in the heart of the city stands empty?!?!?
MoreIf you're visiting South Bend, you should definitely stop at this park and explore for a bit. Nice place to sit and relax, enjoy the water, go for a walk. There is a trail here that runs for miles around South Bend, so have a nice walk along the river. Dog friendly, kid friendly.
MoreWith easy parking entrance at 400 E Colfax, just east of Colfax Bridge, we can park close to the Seitz Park band stand/gazebo and enjoy summertime Seitz & Sounds and marvel at the ever changing River Lights displays. The kids love to play with the light towers to get them to change into more colors. On weekends this is the East Bank River Race with Kayak rentals additional parking off Niles Ave between AM General headquarters office bldg. and Emporium Restaurant.
