This was our first time to Palo Duro Canyon. Thankfully, we arrived early so we could drive around the park. The canyon is beautiful. So glad we explored before the show. The Pioneer Amphitheatre was a great show of the history of the panhandle. The actors did an outstanding job. The employees of the site were outstanding as well.We did the BBQ dinner before the show and it was really good.

We saw Texas Outdoor Musical in this outdoor theater within Palo Duro Canyon State park. Very well organized parking easy entrance and exit. All seats are good. Acoustics are excellent. To avoid a limited view of the very right side of the stage, facing the stage, avoid far Right seats. Lowest price best seats are far left, first row. Be sure to request military, AAA, senior or child discounts if you qualify. Food and beverage are available for purchase.

What a troupe! It did not rain it poured the whole first act yet the show went on with smiles. A few people left but we felt like if those actors can still give a great performance in this miserable weather then we will watch! It was a great show! Great back drop and fantastic fireworks! Everyone would enjoy this!
