The city removed this propaganda monument in 2017. Now there is a pedestal and a committee trying to figure out what next.

This monument is breath taking! A double equestrian work of Genls. Lee and Jackson at their last meeting. Shortly thereafter, Genl. Jackson was killed. It is a must-see.

The Confederate Statue of Generals Lee and Jackson across from the Baltimore Museum of Art is both a stunningly large equestrian sculpture and a beautiful tribute to two of the Confederacy's and America's noblest soldiers. Installed in 1948 barely south of the Mason-Dixon Line, the statue of these two generals is an expertly executed bronze. The setting for the statue is park-like and offers a tranquil spot for admiration.
