tripadvisorAlso known as Cedarhurst Park, this local park is bland and really designed for kids and sports. The sitting and walking areas are not to elaborate.
MoreIm a little biased, I live right around the corner. My kids grew up on the jungle gym. I used to play softball on the ball field, my son plays touch football there now. I've even shaken Mayor Andrew Parise's hand, he was truly the pillar of the entire five towns community for over half a century. This small community park is a proud and appropriate namesake for him. Always well-kept and clean, with fun events when the weather allows, including picnic movie showings, concerts, neighborhood events, Carnivals, etc. A very good, large jungle gym, sprinklers for the kids. Bathrooms. Beautiful, flower-lined gazebo, a frequent site for wedding photos. Even a police substation and a taxi stand. Literally across the street from the Cedarhurst station of the LIRR (Long Island Railroad). For those not from the immediate area, Not really worth a trip unto itself, but worthwhile if you are in the neighborhood with kids on a nice afternoon with a few hours to kill.
MoreA well maintained local park, with a nice playground for children, a baseball field, benches, and a grass quad. Right in the middle of the commercial area of Cedarhurst, so it's just a short walk to Haagen Dazs if you really want your kids to be happy. In addition, there's usually an ice cream truck parked nearby during the warmer months of the year.
MoreI come here with my friends and it's always well taken care of. They're always making additions to the playground equipment and they keep the grounds clean as well. There are restrooms but they're gross. It's not a very big park but it's cute.
MoreA nice place to sit and enjoy the sun, or to let kids roam in a small kiddie park. The park has a rest room, ball field, and kiddie amusements, and adequate benches to sit and watch people walk by or the trains pass through the Cedarhurst railroad station.
