We enjoyed walking along the trail and looking for birds. The trail is in great condition, there was a huge variety of birds. The geese are a little overaggressive, but they seemed to be enjoying the walk too.

I was visiting with my dad a few weeks ago and we needed something to do. We were walking around in downtown normal when we noticed a trailhead. It ended up being a very fortuitous discovery because the trail was beautiful and went for a surprisingly long way. The paved trail is well kept with benches at regular intervals and rows of trees on both sides block out views of nearby apartments and houses for the most part. It's probably better when the leaves are on the trees, but I haven't seen that yet. There are several small parks scattered along the route that made for fun diversions. That is perhaps my only complaint. I wish that the connected parks were a little bit better in terms of size or amenities. It is very clean as well. But overall I was very happy to learn about the constitution trail and have become a regular hiker on it ever since.

We are lucky to have such a nice trail system it is certainly one of the nicest things Bloomington/Normal has going for it. To see all the people enjoying and using it and the communities commitment to continue expanding and improving our trail system is a delight.

It gets crowded with walkers, runners and bikers but if you go early or late in the day you'll avoid the crowds. Fun, pretty flat, beautiful path.

I walk on the path every chance I get. i love the shade and the even surface except for the bridge, which is ok too. My usual walk is from Rt. 9 to ISU. Most people are friendly and I like how the bike riders uausally tell you when they are passing.
