tripadvisorWe made our way to the overlook to enjoy some great views and we weren’t disappointed. It’s a bit of a drive on some dirty roads but their a few other places we visited to enjoy the views of the river. If your in the area I would certainly recommend coming out and taking in the views.
MorePart of what made this so great was the drive to get there. About 15 miles down unpaved roads. Cows in the road. Open views. Then you get to the site and there is just this big crack in the earth with beautiful views.
MoreA very rugged canyon overlook into the Snake river, Idaho. You can drive down a very nicely paved road to the bottom. Their is a small grassy area to have a picnic.
MoreWe enjoyed the awesome views of the Snake River AND watching the hang gliders jump off the bridge and slowly guide themselves to one of the banks so that they could hike up, pack their chutes and do it again!
MoreFun adventure around an area of Idaho we had not explored. Enjoyed the drive to the overlook and cannot believe we had not been there before. Truly amazing view! Looks like construction is going on for additional railing but it is still very open to the edge so be careful. If you are in the general area, it really is a must see. There is a trail head in the area but we turned back after following the signs for about 5 miles in and still not seeing the trail head.... May go back to try that again.
