Great little lake, launch is a bit far off but it a nice very very warm lake with a great beach and tons of room for families and keeping separated. some deep random holed in the sand close to shore to watch out for, but lots of activities to keep busy and shallow water for little ones.

Hey Honey, lets take the kids for a ride over to South Haven for some ice cream(look for another review), it's a beautiful day for a relaxing, country drive. Great idea, get the kids. Where we going dad? Country drive for some ice cream. YEA,,,,!! Hey, I think we are lost, there's a horse and buggy?? What?? Well I'll be, sure is....that there are good people, they are called Amish. We proceeded on thru the little Burg of Bloomingdate and came upon an Amish Country Store. More buggies and horses, and the smell of home made bread and cinnamon rolls met us in the parking lot. Well, we went inside and that was more than a little Country Store...there was fresh meat, farm raised eggs, a bakery, groceries, hand made goods, homeopathic oils, and all kinds of goodies. We loaded up, those pies where just like my mom's....with fresh blueberries picked out back. My children have not forgotten that trip, and we have been many more times to watch the Amish Community grow, the farms, the school, it is such a special place with special people for my children to learn about and actually observe their lifestyles. Take the kids, take gramps and granmaw, mom and dad it's special. But, watch out, I will be coming out of The Amish Market with a bag of cinnamon rolls and delicious coffee....I'll wave when you walk by the picnic table. See ya, Lilli

Nice lake, very family friendly. Good lake for tubing or for a pontoon ride. People and residents very friendly.

Husband fishes this lake frequently - it is generally busy on both sides of the Dam - lots of fishing - some skiing....

This place is an unsung beauty. Not many people on it at all. Very quiet but very large! It's not really a true lake, but a dammed off river. Still, LOVELY.
