The only high wooded hills trail, with views, in north Texas. The trails are owned by Mountain Creek Church. They are maintained by Friends of Big Cedar and Dallas Off Road Bicycle Association (DORBA).Plenty of nice big trails for Wounded Vets who ride 3 wheel pump bikes.

This is a huge area for mountain bikers maintained by the Dallas Off Road Biking Association (DORBA). It is also available for walkers as long as you step aside when the mtb's come along. I only walk there during the week (closed on Mondays) because I have a dog on a leash so it is too busy on the weekends. These are excellent trails with varying levels of difficulty, the best in DFW. Take water & a compass. Also visit the DORBA website & print the map. If it has rained the trails are closed.

Great place to ride. Trails from beginner to extreme. Hike or bike. It has it all. Also a spectacular view of the city and lake at sunset.

If you are going to visit Dallas and like to ride MTB this is a must ride. The Ranges loop is 15 mile ( beginner - intermediate ) trail with many cut off that will make a very challenging ride for all. Make sure to bring water with you and I recommend a riding partner or two. There are some technical down hill sections and some killer climbs for the weekend warrior. They also have lots of stuff for the super fit and fast guys. ( not Me ) Some crazy wooden drop in ramps that are scary for me to look at. LOL. Plenty of shaded area for lunch and they do have a few tables as well. I highly recommend Big Cedar Wilderness Trail for MTB. They also have some separate hiking trails that look great but I have not tried them out yet. Go get some and have a great time., Don
