One of the largest parks in the historic area of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Saratoga Park is named after the famous Saratoga Avenue, which was named during the 19th-century Revolutionary War Battles fought here. In its earlier days, the park played home to touring circus groups and other performing troupes. Shaded areas, walking tracks and lush green trees make it an picnic spot. The park also features a granite monument dedicated to Saratoga's martyrs from World War I.
