The North End of Boise is full of left wing lunatics. They ruined the beauty of the trees and old houses but the never ending virtue signaling signs EVERYWHERE. Stay away from this area. It’s been destroyed and taken over by loons.

If you like Portland, Seattle, SF, and places of the like, this is Idaho's version. Politics and all.On the bright side, it is in Idaho and still has some semblance of class, clean streets, and good restaurants.

I used to live in the North End. The first house I owned and outgrew it. Sadly I sold the house after fixing it up and now it's out of my price range.

Nice neighborhood to walk that is fairly close to downtown. You can visit a few places around the neighborhood like Hyde Park or the Co-Op, but if you're looking for a nice walk, this is a good place to go.

It's about a twenty minute walk from downtown. My advice: take 13th out to the North End even though it is kind of busy traffic-wise. Walk until you hit the place where there are bars, cafes and restaurants ... some of them housed in turn of the century old brick buildings that are beautiful. Nice signage that will describe each of the buildings. After you've seen the main drag, head to a side street to take in the nice architecture as you walk back to downtown. Nice after dinner walk if it's summer and it stays light out late.
