Frank Lloyd Wright Spire Historical Monument

Originally designed to crown the Arizona State Capitol building, Frank Lloyd Wright pitched the idea of creating a spire to state officials in 1957, but was rejected. So in 2004, the spire was finally completed and now stands tall at the Promenade in North Scottsdale. This 125-foot (38.1-meter) tall spire is the exact blueprint recreation of one of the greatest American architects. Wright converted Arizona into his winter home and created other structures in the area, including his school, Taliesin West. The design of this magnificent spire is textural and is built of glass and steel. At night, this blue and green tower resembles something out of a sci-fi movie and can be easily spotted as you drive by Frank Lloyd Wright boulevard.
