Huntington Beach Wetlands is a great environmental place and many types of wildlife here. Still has an industrial feel with power plant looming over the area.

I bike ride this marsh whenever I can. If you stop and read the signs they are very educational and the wildlife is very cool. occasionally you will see birds of prey. A raptor was on a wire for it seemed hours one day and people just stopped took pics and moved on. Good exercise too!

although the marshlands are super important for the eco system this is not a place to plan a day or even an hour. you are way better off going to bolsa chica wetlands-you will see more and have a better time.

Moved close by, started taking a morning and now evening walk in the wetlands. A beautiful and wonderful place for serenity and calm!

I stayed with a friend in Huntington while on a business trip. We both had a difficult work week and she recommended a little walk. Three hours later we went home. It is wonderful to see these wetlands put to good use. Also the easy access to the residential areas kept us away from the hectic tourist activity.
