This is a privately-owned Frank Lloyd Wright-designed house that can only be viewed by walking or driving past. It?s located less than a mile from the open-to-the-public Martin House on a residential street. The Davidson House appears to have been well-maintained and all of FLW?s famous Prairie-style elements are visible from nice sidewalk views. It would be great if the interior of the house were made available for public tours, but at least someone seems to be using it for its intended purpose!

I was lucky enough to go on a tour with the Smithsonian and to be able to visit the house with the owner. It is as beautiful inside than outside. The owner loving FLW made sure to have as many furniture in his style as possible. Just perfect.

This FLW home is a short drive from the from Martin house complex in a quiet residential neighbourhood. No tours or public access though worth a stop to see if in the area.

What does one have to do, or shell out to own a Frank lloyd Wright designed hinge? It's a beautiful example of his work and a private home. A nice drive by sight. You can't go in.

Although this is a private residence and not open to the public, it is nevertheless a beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright prairie style home. It is located in the Parkside East Historic District, still a wonderful neighborhood. Close to Delaware Park, Buffalo Zoo and driving distance to the fabulous Albright Knox Gallery, as well as many other attractions. See Michaelangelo's life-size David near the Delaware Park.Lots of picture ops. The Walter Davidson House was built in 1908 and then renovated in the 1930s. It is situated on a double lot with professional landscaping which graces the wood and stucco home. It is best known for the cathedral shape of the living room. The home has cantilevered eaves (as is typical in the Wright architecture) a hip roof and casement windows with leaded diamond-shaped panes. The home was built for Walter V. Davidson, an executive at the Larkin Company in Buffalo. This company has recently become Larkin Square, a fabulous renovated property with an administration building, a bar, restaurant, entertainment near Buffalo's waterfront. A don't miss place to visit also. While in Buffalo visit other FLW properties if not just to photograph and enjoy the incredible architecture. The Martin House Complex is one of Wright's finest prairie style designs and is located on Jewett Pkwy. very close to the Davidson's House. Don't be disappointed with Davidson's more modest size when compared to other FLW properties. Go, visit, photograph and enjoy!
