I have always liked this park, but in recent years it has gone downhill! Some say it's because of the homeless! I am not sure if dogs are allowed, but I always have seen dogs there! The park is surrounded by homes. There is a lot of green brass!.

I'm not a fan of a plastic and metal jungle gym. Small children aren't hot on them either. Why do cities spend thousands of dollars on this and fuss over making sure there are rubber mats if they fall. An old fashioned swing set, a teather ball pole and an area to draw in chalk in the shade makes more sense. This park is nicely mowed and there are clean picnic benches but take the little ones to the beach and bring a bucket and a scoop and there now you have hours of fun. I guess if you don't want to get sandy there are places to sit and bring a blanket and a book to read out loud. Park is empty middle of the day

This park is frequented by dogs taking their owners for a walk. It has a large children's play ground which seems to be safe enough, but has some chipped paint and has seen some wear. Kids will still love it. Nice BBQ areas (some are shaded) and picnic tables throughout the park. The park has one main walking path. Bring a blanket and some snacks for a picnic on the grassy lawn areas. This spot is quiet during the day, but comes alive on the weekends. Parking is very limited in the lot near the kid's play land area, but you can park on the streets next to the park. Observe the no parking signs.
