We went to see Journey and the Doobie Brothers here. We upgraded our tickets to premium parking and the fast lane. Can't say enough about how much both of these upgrades paid off!! We were able to park directly in front of the guitar entrance of the venue and walked passed the MASSIVE line of people waiting to get in. If you have the chance to upgrade, DO IT! You won't regret it! When we left after the concert, we were pleasantly surprised premium parking had our own exit as well so we were out of there and back on the highway in no time flat. The concert obviously was hands down AMAZING, but the upgrades just made it that much better!

Venue faces west, so the sun blinding until sunset. Oh yeah, the stage is not fully enclosed at the back so even in the good seats you may have a problem. Zero covered seating. Hope it doesn't rain after you paid good money for good seats. The parking is directly behind, not beside, the pavilion. Therefore the closer to the stage, the further from the parking and everyone has to hike uphill to the back of the lawn to get to the level of the parking. Don't ask about acoustics....

It took an hour and 10 minutes to travel 2 miles. I missed the first act and the second act had already started. There are no drinking fountains. You have to pay $4.50 for a bottle of water. Lines to the restrooms in-between acts are horrendous. Parking is horrible. If you don't want to wait an hour to get out of the parking lot, you need to leave several songs before the end. My wife said she would never go to The Pavilion, even if the Beatles got back together.

The concert was fantastic. The venue was horrible! I will never go back. We arrived a little over an hour early and traffic to get IN to the parking lot was already backed up. The parking lot is in terrible shape. Entering the concert was a disorganized mess. Security was sketchy. Some people got searched, while others just got waved through. There was no way to get to our seats other than walk through the lawn seating area where people already had their blankets spread out. The line to get an alcohol wrist band was so long that we didn't even bother. And leaving the parking lot after the concert was just the most frustrating and dangerous thing I've ever seen. Once we got to the street, traffic was being directed in one direction--south--down a dead end road.

Have been to this venue several times. I love that it is outdoors, but the city of Albuquerque really should provide some sort of transportation to and from the events there since it is so far out of the way. We actually rented a limo this time and it was nice to not have to worry about driving after the concert and several drinks - highly recommend doing this, as splitting the cost with several friends makes it less prohibitive financially and made the experience much more enjoyable than our previous visits.
