Saw Lukas Nelson and it was a great show at the historic Van Buren!Really nice venue, great sound system and lots of staff from check in to around the floor - especially helpful when a small fight broke out!Not a fan of the stand up General Admission.

The musicians were great. The bar staff was wonderful. The security staff was awful; rude, moronic, full of self-imprtance. Removing people from the venue for no apparent reason. Would not tell individuals why, just told to leave. This is what DEI gets you. We will never go back. Terrible experience.

I had an incredible time at The Van Buren on September 17th, where I saw Peter Hook & The Light with friends. The experience was nothing short of amazing!Venue Policies: A heads-up for future visitors: backpacks are not allowed inside, so don’t even try bringing one. However, if you accidentally bring a big bag, they do have lockers available, which is quite convenient.Location: The venue is conveniently located next to Ziggy’s Pizza, perfect for grabbing a bite if you get hungry while waiting in line.Drinks: Be prepared for somewhat pricey drinks, but the overall experience makes it worth it.Staff: The staff was friendly and efficient, adding to the positive experience.Merchandise: I couldn’t resist buying a tour poster, and I’m glad I did. Supporting the musicians through merchandise is always a good idea.Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the concert and the atmosphere at The Van Buren. Highly recommended for a memorable night out!

Extremely rude waitstaff shoved her way into my space did not ask politely to scoot over so she could get someone checked out and then became mouthy with me then went and tattled on me to a bouncer who pulled me outside to scold me like I was a four-year-old little kid this place is ridiculous and I can't believe they treat their clients like this no one asked me how it went down they just told me believing everything the waitress told her I will never go there again and I will blow this thing up and make sure everybody knows how you treat people unacceptable never have this experience ever your waitstaff needs to be polite and courteous to your clients. She got lippy with me then because I said it was rude to just shove your way in and not ask politely then ended up calling me an a$$hole. I've never been so rudely treated ever no one tried to understand my side of it they also lied and said they were other wait staff standing there when I have several people witnessed the situation and there was no one else there. I don't need a bouncer puffy chest and getting in my face about a rude waitstaff the dude needs to take a chill pill or lay off the steroids wrecked my whole night will never come back again.

Went out to see Owl city with a friend earlier this month.First things first: accommodations. We're both totally blind, as in white canes and can't perceive light. From the moment we showed up at the box office to last call, the staff (from management to security) went above and beyond to ensure our experience was an enjoyable one by checking in repeatedly and being there for anything we needed. Shout out to Nilza (manager) and Dray, they're awesome! The venue is comfortable for the size. Even at a sold out show its easy to find a spot to stand. They have clean bathrooms, multiple well-placed bars with specials, next level food, plus a killer sound system that'll impress audio engineers the world over.complaints? Very few, if you could even call it that. Parking is expensive and sparce, take the train or ride share to avoid the wait. Like most other venues it was better prior to the live nation aquasition, but everyone working there does what they can to make up for that. More information about accessibility/ADA on their website would be appreciated. Its suggested to contact the box office well in advance because their phone (apparently) rings off the hook during business hours.5/5
