For a minute there i thought we were back in San Francisco with the two homeless folks sleeping on the bench there under a tarp while wrapped in a sleeping blanket.

A great place for lunch on Fridays during the summer. The food trucks are out and the music is good. You can bring your own seat or there are places to sit throughout the park.

The Jon Hunt plaza is alway bustling with activity by the fountain. I love having lunch there in the summer when they feature live music on Fridays.

One can see some decent shows a few times a year, Fridays' by the Fountain, for example, about 6 one hour band things during lunch hour.A few years ago there was a regular contingent of deadhead/stoner/freaks that used to hang out there on Friday nights and skateboard and have drum circles, and whatnot, that was safe, but the city chased them off.Now it is not safe at night unless there is an event aqt the Morris. I know, I was mugged right by there last winter. Not safe after dark.You have been warned. Great place during the day.

This plaza is located outside of the Morris Theater in downtown SB. It makes for a great landmark to meet up with people when heading downtown. SB has also made it a cultural centerpiece by holding concerts every Friday at lunch here during the summer.
