The ladies who own this place are very professional and take good care of their books and their store- everything is clean and in order and the books are in good condition.

They have many more books than I had expected. $1 each. There is a large back room of paperbacks that cost $10/bag full.

Several people have called this a hidden gem and they’re right. It’s a little place, buried in an industrial park with a loading dock (right next to Michael & Son on Atlantic), but completely worth exploring! All books are $1! They’re organized by Age/Genre, but other than that, it’s kind of a treasure hunt. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, you can leave a request and they’ll notify you when it comes it. The owners are fabulous people who love books and dogs. What more can you ask for?

When Dog Eared Books randomly popped up on my Facebook feed, I knew I needed to visit! After having some GPS issues (that were hilarious in hindsight), we found it and excitedly made our way inside to explore the shelves of used books. I apologize to other patrons, if my toddler was annoying, but even he loved pulling books off the shelves, reading them, then putting them in our tote bag! :) There were lots of genres and authors represented, and although you really had to study the shelves to find anything in particular you might be looking for, everything was well-organized and the shelves were well-stocked! We will definitely be making a trip back at some point, once we finish reading the many books we bought!

During my weekend trips, I like to stop by small used book stores, and Dog Eared Books definitely fit the bill. The staff is super helpful and extremely passionate about their shop. The pricing structure is great, and they have a great selection! Although they are only for a few hours each week, they are totally worth the wait. Keep on doing what you’re doing!
