We really like to walk, run, or bike on the the Norwalk Reiver Valley Trail. We often meet kind people as well.

Quiet walk except for the many dogs. One was off the leash and scared my daughter. It was peaceful and a nice way to spend an hour with the familiy.

The trail is magical, weaving under a canopy of trees, over brooks and past ancient stone walls and formations. It is a place to exercise, breath in the natural air and lose yourself in nature. The trail is a combination of gravel and wood bridges, and is well maintained and safe.

The NRVT is one of the great things about Wilton. Park at either the commuter lot on Wolfpit or up at Autumn Ridge, and put your headphones on or listen to the sounds of nature. If you are looking for a solitary experience, put the headphones in or go very early in the morning, as this is a popular trail for residents and visitors alike. Great place to walk the dogs (on leash, always) and get some fresh air and exercise. Truly a gem!

Like a sanctuary in the middle of suburbia. Lots of different access points for those that live in the vicinity.
