This is a small (1 square block) bit of open space that makes a nice stop when walking from one end of the street to the other. Pleasant, but nothing special.

I've driven past the park for years and it's always looked so inviting. Nestled in between some apartment complexes in central Boulder, this is a quintessential city park of old. It's a hidden gem; quiet, large but never crowded. Lush with large grassy areas shaded by huge trees, there is plenty of picnicking opportunity here. There is a fun play yard with cushy flooring to protect little knees and feet. The playground has swings (including a baby swing), climbing structures, spinning platforms and more. There is a full size basketball court too as well as paved paths. Parking for the park is best across the street on 21st street (no street parking on Canyon in front of the park). The adjoining parking lot is for an apartment complex with clear warnings about towing. NOTE: we found a fast moving channel of water at the very back of the park. Though it looks inviting to dip your toes on a hot day it looks to have a quick drop off. I'd recommended adults stay with children to ensure safety as there is no barrier to the water.
