Really cool museum. Very interesting and the tour guide was amazing. Lauren was easy to talk to and answered all of our questions. My son and I were on vacation from Connecticut and this was one of his favorite places. He even got to play one of the guitars. Definitely would recommend to any guitar lover

What a great experience we had at GIG. We went with friends and even made a new friend with our docent, Henry. Henry was kind, knowledgeable, and his enthusiasm shines as he shows you around the museum. Well worth the $5 entry. One could spend as little as 20-30 minutes or more here perusing the lovely collection.

Noting this is a small space and quick tour but the exhibits come alive through the stories told by guides. Ours, Henri (nb with an i) was a gem. Knowledgeable, engaging, a player, student and lover of music. His enthusiasm was infectious. Ideal for folks but not essential to enjoy the art on display cafes next door if need - & Bellmont campus grounds impressive too!

If you are an average guitar player like me and enjoy instruments, then this place may be for you! A fantastic collection of 1890's to 1950's guitars and mandolins tucked away on the beautiful Belmont University campus....certainly a great find off the beaten path here in Nashville. The $5 fee is a steal of a deal! Besides, you can sit down and play a 1930 Martin like I did. You won't be sorry!
