This small museum provides a clear educational experience that may be surprising to some. It tells the history of the Haskell School that was developed by the Federal Government in the 19th Century to enculturate Native American children. It was a boarding school and the museum tells you what it was like. There is a cemetary on the campus of Haskell Indian Nations University that is the current iteration of the government service.

Haskell was one of the in/famous Native American boarding schools that forced Native children to attend so the could be made Americans This museum tells you about Haskell's history with an emphasis on the early days. The displays are well done and worth your time. There is a lot of history out there that is not well known.

This is the most interesting museum I've been to lately. There are artifacts and other historical objects on display, original craftsmanship, etc. The guide will give you a tour and explain Haskell history or you can wander and look at the exhibits yourself. Haskell was started to americanize native children and it's history is quite hearbreaking. It has evolved over the years from that old cruel boarding school to a modern college. The museum does an excellent job of portraying all eras and changes.

We had hoped to learn more about the history of the actual school in later years. We'd have appreciated fewer signs and more impact to the exhibits.

This is a very small center, but very vine and well kept. This was a opportunity to learn more about this historic school and contributions made by Native Americans. The staff was friendly. A good experience!
