tripadvisorThis is an arts incubator and vitally active non profit gallery! Helped me get active in the regional art community! They do so many free events and activities for Carlsbad residents and visitors! Get signed up for their once per month newsletter and always know what fun event is happening next!
MoreThe COAL now hosts the North Coastal Art Gallery as it's main brick and mortar location in the Carlsbad Village Faire Plaza. It is a wonderful gallery that is spacious, inviting and has quality artwork at affordable pricing that includes art, sculpture, glass, jewlery, ceramic, cards, and gift certificates. It is a Membership based non profit that does amazing community service, and has a free Art Demo Program, in-house art classes, monthly silent auctions, promotes youth art, and provides art advocacy and support to the surrounding communities. It is amazing that the art changes every month, so there is always something new to experience, and they host receptions each month as show openings. So much to see, and do with this group of local artists. You need to stop in for yourself and experince art at it best by local artists.
MoreI've visited and worked with the artists from COAL for several years now and have always had rewarding results. The have collaborated with us in international exhibitions and juried shows (Carlsbad Sister City Ambassadors), especially with Czechia. Their gallery keeps the shows fresh and the volunteers are pleasant.
MoreGreat finds in here-- all done by local artists. I wandered in to check out the art and found myself taking home a beautiful piece. Check it out!
MoreWe spend a couple of weeks every year in Carlsbad. We always make it a point to visit the gallery. You just never know if you'll find some original art that you really like.
