We just got back from Grand Pacific went with my daughter, who’s 8 years old, mommy and me staycation including visiting legoland. The room was large but the first night we noticed 2 small cockroaches crawling in the kitchen floor and bathroom, my daughter of course freaked out and the next morning another one. I complained to the front desk and asked to speak to the manager. They offered a change in rooms but of course not ocean side because that was only for time share guests. I was fine with that until there was no hot water in our new room. I complained once again kept getting excuses about how no other guest experienced that. They offered me a complimentary night which will be emailed, I have yet to receive. On a special staycation with my daughter, the experience at grand pacific was not a good one. There was no room service, no poolside food or drinks, and loud construction starting at 7a everyday. Not to mention the no hot water and pests. Pool was also very dirty. Management could have done way more to have made this experience more positive and memorable. We will not be visiting again.

We had such a nice stay at Grand Pacific Palisades Resort. The property is much bigger than I expected, with two large pools and lots of hot tubs. It’s easy to spend a whole afternoon just relaxing here! The location is also really handy, around five minutes by car from the beach and three minutes from LEGOLAND. We’d happily come back.

Great location, the room was very comfortable, beautiful views to the ocean and I can imagine the beautiful flowers during the spring, they were working on the field.Great for kids crafting activities .We spent time in San Diego, Zoo and Legoland which is within walking distance..

This is one of the best resorts I have stayed at doing an exchange through RCI. We would definitely stay here again if we were to visit the Southern California again. The room was fantastic and clean. The personnel at check-in and around the resort were cordial and helpful. The underground parking facilty was especially nice and we were always able to park near an elevator. We ate late the first night, ordering food and drinks from the bar in the lobby for take-out and took it outside and enjoyed it by the fire pit. The replenishment of towels and paper goods and the cleaning day went smoothly. I cannot think of anything the resort could have done better.

I would advise if you are a special needs family, family of color and not a time share holder to avoid this property at all costs. Please do not put your family in the situation my family and friends were put in by staff members, Matt, Naz, GM Peter and GM Brandon. They condone their staffs inappropriate actions as “properly”. Spend your money elsewhere, you will not be treated the same as a time share guest, I know first hand we experienced it!
