First United Methodist Church volunteers create a town of Bethlehem to walk through as if you were living during that time. Small groups are guided through the village interacting with volunteers dressed in time period clothes. Roman soldiers are encountered throughout the tour which culminates in the scene where the baby Jesus is in the manger with Mary and Joseph. Live actors thru-out this display make this an excellent opportunity to better understand ther environment when Jesus was born. Light refreshments are available afterwards. Reservations through the church are highly recommended. Dress warmly as this display is only available during one weekend in December and during the evening hours. Parking is available in the church parking lot as well as street parking nearby. Children will especially enjoy this reenactment. Highly recommend this event for all ages.
