My kind of place. Very clean. Park outside your room. Great neighborhood. Old school charm. A real California motel. Loved it! Several places to get lattes within easy walking distance. I would definitely stay here again. Very accommodating

Newly renovated and looks great! Such a friendly staff and very accommodating. Rooms were super clean and property is well taken care of. Short walk to beach and good restaurants. We will definitely stay here again. The pictures need to be updated to reflect the renovation. All very modern now,

If I could rate this place as zero, or better yet, a negative number, I would do so. If you read anything in the reviews that sounds the least bit pleasant, it is a lie. This is the most horrible place we’ve ever been. There are really no words to describe it. I will take one picture of the shower, and that should suffice.

I don't require too much when I stay places. Usually just a quiet place to land after exploring. I ended up here because it was the only place with a room under $200 during the 4th of July weekend ( I embarrassingly won't tell you what they jacked the price up to for the 4th of July weekend) . I can honestly say I've never paid for anything quite like it ... missing bed side tables and lamps, old soap packages holding the shower curtain pole against the wall, it looked like the start to a scary movie. One of the queen beds (Separate by a wall divider) had no bedside tables or lamps, and the other queen bed had one bedside table, but no lamp. The blankets were really thin and I was actually cold at night. No granted location wise, there are cool spots all around it, a great coffee spot, two nice restaurants across the street, and a straight shot downtown (which is a long long walk if you wanted to walk downtown). But behind our bathroom window were thrown out mattresses, bags of clothes, and general junk. I made sure to keep the bathroom window closed. I watched many couples try to check out in the morning only to realize that there was and would be nobody at the office all morning. We resorted to just locking our keys in the bedroom check out. Their website says Reception open 24/7 but that's definitely not the case. I wonder what others did!Uh .... wouldn't stay here again if it was a last resort.

Needed to stay in oceanside for 3 nights. Made mistake of paying for 3 nights in advance. The plus, the room was in the back so it was quiet. However, there was only one ceiling light in the room, plus a light in the tiny bathroom. No bedside or any other tables, a child sized desk with one chair, a very old worn and dirty convertible sofa, view of the outside from around the gaps in the wall a/c. Should have paid attention to the office postings: No refunds, 24 hr surveilance cameras. No maintenance on the bldgs e.g. no paint or badly peeling paint, doors that didn't keep; out light. A very poor place. Do not stay there. Ever.
