Don't go anywhere near the old route 66 in Albuquerque. We decided to take that historical route and it was very scary! On noon on a Sunday we saw people crashed out on the sidewalks, drugs being used, prostitutes, make shift beds that people were sleeping on, graffiti, bold beggars, broken down light posts, boarded up buildings and barred buildings -evidently because of the high crime there. Many businesses were closed down and boarded up. There are pot shops on almost every corner. We thought we drove into a foreign country with a third world dictatorship. Lock your doors and speed through it if in that area. What an embarrassment for the city and all officials who allow this should be elected out of office! If you keep voting the same way Albuquerque, you will get the same results. Funny thing is the down town government buildings look like mansions. Help wanted signs are all over the town and many other businesses in outside areas were telling us they were short staffed. Stop encouraging drugs and crime in your city and get people in honest jobs!

We had a beautiful day of viewing murals and shopping. I highly recommend you visit Nob Hill. Very unique shops.

Nob Hill defies categorization. There's old and new, American, Mexican, cheP diners and pricey fin dining, classy boutiques and total junk shops, old Route 66 vibe and attempts to modernize. It's charm is a quirky one and that quirkiness isn't for everyone.

Very underwhelming just like the city. Not what I expected. Long way to go to be a genuine attraction.

We visited Nob Hill due to rave reviews from Millennial coworkers. The route 66 historic buildings and the murals are enjoyable, but to us older folks this was just another overcrowded place with shops, restaurants, breweries, and traffic. It was nice to come here once, but Albuquerque has many places more interesting to see.
