tripadvisorLake Alice is the home of friendly staff and solid drinks. Very attentive to this older gent during my visit. Very spacious inside and seems the place to be for the downtown lunch crowd. Recommended.
MoreThis bar has it all. Lots of beer on tap and plenty of seating. There is usually a band playing, the night we were here a southern rock band was great. There are pool tables, shuffle board and darts as well.
MoreLake Alice is THE place to be on a Tuesday night in Riverside. Tacos at $2.50 each and basic Margaritas at $3 each - what a bargain. The tacos are really good and they even have a fried avocado taco - personally I really like their fish tacos and the the shrimp tacos. Others in my party raved over the filet mignon tacos and the cajun mahi tacos. Great selection of tacos and the margaritas are not the usual happy hour watered down margaritas, their margaritas are good, really good. Atmosphere is great, not too noisy, lots of room and good location.
MoreWe went with a small group on Sunday morning to watch football and celebrate my son-in-law's birthday. I hadn't been to Lake Alice in a while and found they no longer offer pitchers of beer (bummer), but the servers are still great and do a really wonderful job. We were with our 5 year old granddaughter and didn't think we could go upstairs to watch the Cowboys (S-I-L's team), the manager assured us it was not a problem and help us to locate up stairs. They have a fairly regimented television positioning and, in the old days you could ask for your tv to be changed to a different game, now you need to go to the television where the game is being shown, rather than the other way around. We had Hannah as our server and after the first round she was more like family than an employee she really took care of us! The quality of the food is great, I had a couple of Guinness Stouts and the shrimp spring rolls, my wife had a cheeseburger. We loved both. We also tried the buffalo chicken wings and they were great. Lake Alice is not a foo foo place to visit but if you go for games, good food and good service, you cant go wrong any day of the week. On Sundays you can expect an outstanding NFL experience!
MoreWe came for the dinner, but it was a great place for music, meeting friends, games, sports. Really enjoyed the hamburgers and salads. The space is an old, old store with just so much ambiance.
